UX/UI

FINNISH RISTRICTED DATA

From 08/2023 I've been working on a Finnish Digital and Population Data Services Agency project called Finnish Ristricted Data. My role was to design UX and UI for the service

VIRTUAL FINLAND PROJECT

From 11/2022 to 5/2023 I worked on a Finnish Government conceptual project, Virtual Finland. My role was to do service design the concept along with one other Service Designer and build a interactive prototype. Main concept idea was to provide a one address public service for entering working in Finland.

SUOMI.FI-VALTUUDET UI/UX UPDATE

During 2018-2022 I worked on a Finnish Government project, Mandates service, on a Suomi.fi website. My role was to improve the whole UX/UI part and make it user friendlier to use electronic mandates service and to meet the standards of EU Accessibility Acts.

I have also conceptualised, visualised and designed a brand new service for public servants for helping citizens doing electronic mandates. This service was launched on 6/2020.

DELIVERED CHAT APP & SDK

Delivered example app UI, Splashscreen (2018)

I designed a brand and identity for a new product called Delivered. One of key elements was the example app that shows how easy is to set up different UI's with SDK. This version of UI I designed for iOS SDK.

SDK was designed and build for both Android and iOS.

Delivered example app UI, Chats screen  (2018)

Delivered example app includes basic chat app screens like Chat history, Friends list, Community screen and users own profile screen.

Delivered example app UI, Friends screen (2018)

Friends screen has two tabs, single friends list and groups list. Layout is more tight on this screen compare to chat history screen but still the overall feeling is loose and spacy.

Delivered example UI, User profile screen (2018)

User own profile includes option to have multiple images if wanted. Big role is on user profile image.

Delivered example UI, Conversation screen (2018)

The actual conversation/chat screen is the heart of messaging SDK, place where the magic happens. Thus it needs to feel like a space where the content is king. Many times the chat screen is heavy looking without actual chat content. But the main point here is the full access to customize the UI as the client wishes.

Delivered example UI, Community screen (2018)

Community and social aspect was always at the center of everything we did on Jongla. Also here on Delivered example app one of the main things was the community views which we had several different options to choose of. We also included options to display ads in the middle of the content. This way the ads are not ruining the UI but are still clearly enough different from the other content.

SOUNDMASH APP

(Unfortunately the app has been removed from Google Play Store, App Store, Windows Marketplace because of owner)

SoundMash app UI, three different views (2017)

SoundMash was a very exciting and innovative experiment from Jongla - social voice collaboration app. I was happy to be a part of it and one of the key idea was to keep everything in one UI - on chat screen. The whole user flow was run by the bot. Very challenging and bold experiment but unfortunately the experiment was quit short short-lived and the project was canceled for economic reasons. In my career so far it was the most challenging and disruptive UX/UI design I have done.

App was designed and build for these platforms:

Android, iOS and Windows Phone.

JONGLA - SOCIAL MESSENGER APP

(Unfortunately the app has been removed from Google Play Store, App Store, Windows Marketplace because of owner)

Jongla messenger app UI, Splash screen (2016)

First Jongla messenger was release around 2012. After then I designed two facelift for the app. This version was called version 3.0 and it was by far the most successful and praised version of Jongla.

App was designed and build for these platforms:

Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Windows Desktop app,  Firefox OS, Sailfish OS, Blackberry OS and WebApp.

Jongla messenger app UI, Community screen (2016)

The brand new feature on version 3.0 was the community feature along with reactions. It allowed Jongla users to find other nearby users and gave them reactions (❤️️, 👍, 😃) or sending them a message.

Jongla messenger app UI, User profile screen (2016)

Because of community the user own profile started to play a big role on the app. Also new customization with theme colors improved the user experience.

One of the unique features Jongla had from the day one was animated and interactive stickers. Also voice filters with audio messages was one of innovations Jongla made during the years.

DELIVERED - MESSAGING TOOL - WEB APP

(Delivered.im offers messaging service with easy-to-use tools for brands to integrate chat and community features to their existing service. I designed UI for their web app.)

WIREFRAMES

Following wireframes I made while renewing Jongla messenger UI in 2013. We made couple of online user study based on we build protype which we tested with help of company called Idean.

DASHBOARD MOCKUP

Following wireframe I made for one Bot project that was never officially released.

Concept was to build BotStudio dashboard where user could create their own bots and publish them in our service for end users. The project was heavily based on AI and our mission was to create as-easy-as-possible User Interface for customers to build their own bots.
